Experience
Tech, hospitality and financial services
The coaching industry is unregulated in the UK, so for me it was important to achieve accreditation from a coaching professional body as part of my business.
As an EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council) accredited coach, I hold the highest standard of professional coaching.
Additionally, I have over 100 hours of coaching experience, which ensures that my clients are in good hands.
Over 13 years I have worked for 6 large brands across tech, hospitality and financial services.
It's important to find a coach who you feel comfortable with and who has the experience and expertise to help you achieve your goals.
So, why could that be me?
I’ve worked with senior leaders for 13 years. I’ve worked at some of the largest UK brands and been involved in their Senior Leader Development plans. I have always had people ask me for career advice and come to me when they are struggling with a dilemma. It is one of the greatest compliments of my career that my team mates reach out to me when they are struggling and it happens a lot. Helping others to tap into the answers and success they already had inside their own hearts and minds became my favourite part of any role I had. And now, as a Leadership coach, I get to do just that on a weekly basis.
I coach in a personal capacity in my own time and this coaching practice is unrelated to my day job in Tech.
The largest mentoring scheme in EMEA
I am proud to have run the largest mentoring scheme in EMEA aimed at empowering women at Meta. It has 1100 sign ups. Through this scheme I’ve learnt what personal things we put in our own way that hold us back. The anecdotal feedback I hear from this scheme is very inspiring, it’s having someone listen to you and share different perspectives that comes up time and again as the main benefit of the program. A mentor is someone who helps you grow your skills, make better decisions and gain new perspectives on your life and career.
International Women's day
I spoke on a panel of Facebook women talking about Mentoring and running the largest mentoring scheme for women across EMEA two years ago. Watch it here.
Diversity of thought
Coaches from diverse backgrounds bring different perspectives and experiences to the coaching relationship. This can help clients see things from a new angle and gain insights they may not have otherwise considered. I think it is important for me to seek out diversity in my own training and development, as well as in the clients I work with to offer a well rounded viewpoint.
I practice what I preach
I’ve always been the person to ask “why?” who tries to see others perspective. Im a great listener and I’m extremely action orientated. I have my own coach and set goals in all aspects of my life. I will never be finished when it comes to self development and as part of our chats I hope to share things I’ve read, trends in the industry and knowledge with you.
I am an ENTJ personality type. My social style is Driver + Expressive. If you're not sure what they are, don't worry we can talk about how different personalities and approaches show up at work in our coaching calls.
The Young Women's Trust charity
The Young Women's Trust charity have a scheme which I am proud to be a part of called "Work It Out" and it's a service to support those young women aged 18-30 who have applied for jobs but have not received any feedback or responses. As a CV and job application feedback volunteer, I am here to help young women make the first step towards feeling more confident and ready to apply for a job. My role is to give honest and personalised constructive feedback on CVs and job applications. To me, it's a really worthwhile opportunity and something I find rewarding.
